Aeration for Compacted Soil
Heavily compacted soil can behave like concrete. This makes it extremely difficult for tree roots to spread and grow. Using the Air Knife tool, we can fracture compacted soil to introduce oxygen and create space for your tree’s roots to thrive. This tree aeration process is both noninvasive and thorough, providing the deep aeration needed for long-term root health.
Tree Planting Mistakes Corrected With Air Knife
Many new trees are planted incorrectly, either by planting them too deeply or by not removing the burlap/wire basket from around the root ball. Both of these issues can lead to stem-girdling roots. At Organic Air Tree and Shrub Care, we use our high-tech Air Knife to safely remove soil from the root structures of trees and shrubs. This enables us to removed stem-girdling roots, as well as aerate the soil for improved root growth. Failing to remove the burlap or planting a tree in such a way that the roof flare is below the soil/mulch line can be a fatal mistake for the tree; however, in many cases, our Air Knife treatment can help restore the tree to a healthy future!
